Introduces students to the foundations of citizenship and life in a community. Students will explore topics such as the structure and purpose of government, the rights and responsibilities of citizens, how laws are made, and the roles people play in their communities. Additional topics may include national symbols, important historical documents, and how local and national governments serve the public.

Through discussions, projects, and role-playing activities, students will make real-world connections, actively experience how communities function, and practice what it means to be an informed and responsible citizen. Students will consider these concepts from a biblical worldview, recognizing the importance of character, responsibility, and serving others.
