Students will need access to a smartphone, tablet, or other audio-visual recording device at home to complete assignments as well as access to free, web-based and app based editing and design software.
Learn how to research, write, and share stories in multiple formats. Discover what makes each type of media unique, how to capture attention, and how to share ideas clearly and creatively with an audience. Learn how to write news-style stories, design eye-catching visuals and infographics, and create digital content such as podcasts and short videos. This class will require the timely completion of homework assignments to meaningfully progress.
